As a board certified Oral Surgeon, teacher and researcher patient education if very important to Dr. John Schmitz. The knowledgable staff at Shavano Park Facial Surgery are dedicated to providing patients quality oral surgery care while in an educational and informative environment. Our goal is to educate our patients so they can make an informed decisions regarding their medical and dental care. Time is taken during the consultation visit to identify patient needs and to develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored for each. State of the art oral and maxillofacial surgery is provided in the comfort of our office or in a hospital environment. Dr. Schmitz is always available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to respond to any current or potential patient’s needs.
During the first visit, patients will be seen in a consultation appointment with the oral surgeon. Our treatment plan recommendation are outlined and provided in a written format. All options for treatment will also be provided. We will then consult with the patient’s General Dentist to ensure all needs are best met.
We understand that a first visit to a new doctor can be a daunting experience. That is why we have provided several brochures and forms to make each and every visit a comfortable and efficient one.
